Home Platform / FAQs
The questions agents ask most about Home Platform — filter by topic to find what you need.
No. Private Exclusives are off-market listings shared only within the platform, included in the "Only on Home" inventory along with Exclusives and Make Me Sell listings — accessible in-platform but not exposed through traditional MLS-style search filters.
The exact location stays hidden. Instead, general details like neighborhood, bed/bath count, square footage, and the owner's aspirational price are shown, along with a confidential property ID agents can use to reach out — the client's identity stays undisclosed.
It pulls from transactional activity and listing signals — buyer/seller representation, listing engagement — looking back 24 months. It's based on recent verified activity, not a full MLS archive pull.
The recommended approach is the default filters, since they provide broader coverage. If you're more comfortable with your MLS-specific filters, you can set that as your preference in Search preferences.
Yes — mobile and desktop are synchronized, so contact additions and changes on one device automatically reflect on the other.
Yes — it deduplicates and merges contacts that share the same email address. Find it at HomeContactConverter.com.
Most log quickly: Google-synced activity like emails typically appears in real time or within a few minutes, manually logged interactions record immediately, and automated lead sources like Zillow or Realtor.com usually appear almost instantly.
The suggested workaround is for the primary agent to grant impersonation access to team members so they can help manage the business. There's no dedicated contact-sharing feature beyond that confirmed yet.
300 per day total, covering both bulk and individual sends. The bulk email tool shows a counter of how many sends you have left.
Some MLSes don't auto-sync. If it hasn't populated within a couple hours, open a support ticket with the listing address and your email — the team can push it manually while a permanent fix is in progress.
Up to 3 listing agents per Private Exclusive listing.
When a listing moves from Private Exclusive to Coming Soon, it appears as Coming Soon on Compass.com and, where enabled, third-party sites like Redfin. Once it goes Active, it must be entered on the MLS — but the system automatically merges it with the existing Coming Soon listing, carrying over its history and engagement.
Yes, it carries over automatically — you don't need to re-enter it. This is a limited data transfer for that specific field, not a full sync between the platform and the MLS.
Reverse prospecting emails have to be sent manually — they're not automated — and are capped at 20 agents per send through the integrated composer, within your overall 300-email daily limit. The client code in the email doesn't show the client's name; the recipient clicks it to open the contact card, or searches the code directly.
No — only the listing agent can run an ad for that listing.
Minimum spend is $2 per day. For Facebook and Instagram, paid ads can only run through business accounts — not personal ones.
No — ad performance reporting stays in Marketing Center only. It doesn't sync to the contact card or Business Tracker.
Yes, but the link needs to come from YouTube's main URL. If you copy the link from the "Share" button under the video, it'll error out and won't populate correctly.
No — the system only allows posting immediately, no scheduling.
Not currently — this is a known issue and an active enhancement request. If you run into it, submit feedback with a screenshot or screen recording.
No — they're separate tools. You can export a CMA into a Presentation, but it becomes a static document that won't update automatically if the original CMA changes. (Full walkthrough on the CMAs page.)
Per plan, not per day — you can enroll up to 100 contacts into each individual Action Plan. (More on the Business Tracker page.)
Yes — clients can add homes they've found, flag interest, request tours, and comment in real time. You'll see it all in your activity feed. (Full details on the Collections page — remember, Collections are private to each agent-client relationship, not a public feature.)
Up to 96 hours after you enter a property address on a contact's record. (More on the Likely to Sell page.)
Yes — it was built specifically for real estate agents and offers more integrated, robust team functionality than any of the legacy products it's replacing.
Yes — Google Chrome.
Yahoo is supported directly. AOL users can connect using the "Other Email" option. Connecting a Gmail account is recommended when possible.
No — the platform only pulls your primary, default signature from your connected email account. It feeds from your Google email signature, and even complex signatures with GIFs come through.
Yes — go to Settings, find "Connect your email account," and toggle it off.
Monday–Friday, 5AM–9PM PST, and Saturday–Sunday, 6AM–7PM PST.
Staff can perform most actions on the agent's behalf, including working within ads and CMAs, but can't send emails, post to social media from the platform, or view the agent's financial performance.
No — the AI Assistant doesn't have access to your geo-location and can't perform location-based queries using your current position.
